Session 1>>
Crafting an Effective Onboarding, Strategies and Best Practices, Nati Asher.

We’ve heard the term “Onboarding” for quite some time, usually regarding mobile applications and features’ introduction during a user’s first visit. But how do you create an onboarding experience that truly fulfils the interface’s goals, while also benefitting the user?

In this lecture we’ll understand the REAL goal of onboarding, and the principles for planning an onboarding that is efficient, delightful and unforgettable.

Nati Asher is a Senior Product Designer at WeWork. She began her journey in the UX world more than 8 years ago, and since then she has worked in consulting, product companies and startups.

Session 2>>
How we use an Innovative Journey to Create a Winning Product, Dana Gabor.

At Soluto, in the past 10 years we have used different working processes to create several products. Each time we learned what worked and what didn’t work upon our expectations. We have decided to try a new approach where we take a non-traditional practice to reach our desired product. In this session Dana will talk about the journey and share key learnings.

Dana Gabor is a Senior Director of Product Management at Soluto. She’s extremely data-oriented and leads Soluto’s product which has millions of monthly users. Dana has more than eight years of experience as a Data Analyst and Product Manager, both in corporate and startup environments. She holds a BSc. in Industrial Engineering from the Technion.

Session 3>>
Technology, psychology and the elusive thin line between different biases in human society, Aya Ben-Aharon.

One of the by-products of designing AI that mimics human thinking is the incorporation of human biases. Such incorporated biases can echo and amplify problematic social perceptions such as a lack of social diversity or a perceived superiority of certain social groups.

In my talk, I’ll refer to biases in the realms of human psychology and technology. I will cover the different AI biases and will showcase various examples of it. Starting from facial recognition algorithms which can’t recognize dark-skinned women to a teenage bot who learns from the Internet and becomes an intolerant, prejudiced hater. Together we will look at ways of fixing and preventing injustices that are assimilated in the tech industry.

It’s important that we, as designers and technology makers, learn from these examples.

Aya is a product designer at Red Interactive. She accompanies various tech companies at all stages of their lives and focuses on complex systems. Aya believes that product designers have an important role in paving the way for advanced technologies and how they fit into our lives.
