Embark with us in a journey to explore the power of satellite data combined with the power of AI and machine learning.
Space has always been a domain of exploration and new discoveries, a field for those who dare to reveal the unknown. Since the launch of the first satellite Sputnik in 1957, satellites have been surrounding our planet.
The New Space Revolution is changing the rules of the game and opening the skies for new players. Remote sensing (imagery) satellites of different types allow us to observe the earth 24/7 during day and night time. High resolution data is now more affordable and accessible to individual players and private companies.
During the Hackathon and preparation participants will get access to hundreds of geospatial images provided by Venus, the Israeli-French research satellite, and our leading sponsors Airbus and ISI.

Explore how geospatial data can help us assess security risks, detect and monitor national and personal threats and model emergency scenarios.
MARITIME
Monitor the high seas and coastal areas, detect and prevent maritime piracy and other risks using geospatial data.
COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS
Reveal the power of data science combined with geospatial data to generate new commercial applications.
The Ramon Foundation wishes to follow col. Ilan Ramon – the first Israeli astronaut, footsteps and assist space industry entrepreneurs to start their own businesses. Our mission is to support the growth of the Israeli space sector and enhance the implementation of innovation in our field, while simultaneously, positioning Israel as a global innovation center for new space and space applications.
