ER 2019 Program
On behalf of all the Organizing Team, let me welcome you to the 38th International Conference on Conceptual Modeling in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, from 4th to 7th November, 2019. ER, an exciting conference, in Salvador, an agrable and touristic city. We have worked hard to conform an attractive program, both technically and socially speaking. We are very proud to have the chance of celebrating this 38th conference, 10 years after Gramado, in our country.
We will hold the 38th International Conference on Conceptual Modeling (ER 2019) in Salvador, the capital of the state of Bahia, in the North-east region of Brazil, in the period of November 4-7, 2019. Salvador was the first capital of Brazil and is the 3rd largest city in the country. It is a very attractive tourist destination, due to its history, culture and gastronomy, all strongly influenced by the first African slaves and the Portuguese culture. It has 25 km of urban beaches and several not-to-miss historic venues, like Pelourinho, Farol da Barra, Ilha de Itaparica, historical churches, museums, and Candomblé centers. It is also close to other touristic destinations in Bahia, like Morro de São Paulo, Praia do Forte and Boipeba.
ER 2019 will be held in Hotel Mercure Rio Vermelho, a wonderful, paradise-like location, central and close to several social and gastronomic places in the bohemian neighbourhood of Rio Vermelho.
This hotel was selected because it has successfully hosted the Brazilian Symposium on Databases in 2016. Additionally, an Ibis Hotel is located at the same place for lower accommodation cost. There are also hostels and pousadas, in close distance, with even lower accommodation cost for students.
