The Purple Heart Medal

The University of Alabama has allocated a special parking space for men and women that injured for the country. The parking space is intended for recipients of the purple heart signal. It is located in the parking lot of the Ferguson Center at the western end of the campus.

The purple heart is a sign of respect given to men and women who were wounded or killed in battle. The new marked parking area is described in purple and the purple heart logo.

The proposal was made by members of the university’s military association, which initiated the idea of recognition in this way. The University of Alabama has two recipients of purple heart signals. They will receive the purple heart tag that will allow them to use the designated place and also park anywhere in the campus area, except for places designated for disabled parking.
