The Hackend Project’s Grand Opening Event
November 1 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm UTC+2
So how did it all begin and how was the idea actually born?
The Hackend project was created when technological challenges met with three good friends and software developers from an elite technological unit in the IDF. With the help of love and passion for education, they began to explore the technological world and aim to influence educational and social activities on the youth and the Israeli public.
The idea was born out of the need that exists in various high schools, which constitutes a significant gap that needs to be addressed. The trends in computer science and software engineering in various high schools do not update according to what is happening in the market, and do not expose the students and the students to the challenges that are expected in the technological industry.
Therefore, the three decided to establish The Hackend Project when students and students could gather throughout the year for a number of intensive design and development events (Hackatons), learning different courses, that each course dealing with another challenging problem related to the technological industry and experience teamwork, be exposed to innovative technologies and mathematical challenges and complex algorithms. In addition, the participants will be able to meet with leading mentors from the industry and high technology units in the IDF, who will help them build smart tools in software development and help them prepare for the selection processes in the recruitment technological units.
The Hackend project helps bring Israeli youth closer to the modern and fascinating technological world, so that the encounter with it will be natural and comfortable and enables them to meet at an early age with the ever-changing technological industry. This will give the participants a comparative advantage in integrating the various technological units in the IDF and the technological industry.
